Farashyan’s musical abilities were discovered by his mother, a vocal teacher. She insisted that her son started singing, but at first he took it jokingly and resisted until winning an international competition. Since then, Farashyan has won numerous other contests. In 2005, he won the Grand Prix at the Land under White Wings, and in 2006, he won the Grand Prix at Kind Stork, both international competitions. Farashyan is also a laureate to the presidential fund that supports talented Belarusian youth.
Along with the pop group 3+2, Farashyan will represent Belarus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010.
Farashyan participates in sports such as hunting, fishing, shooting, and boxing.[1]
